ACTIVITIES  
Well Permitting Yes-The district requires well permits for all wells capable of producing more than 25,000 gpd.
Well Construction Standards Yes-The District requires proper completion of wells in accordance with Texas Water Well Drillers' Rules.
Well Spacing Yes-No well shall be drilled such that said well shall be located closer than 100' to the property line. Spacing of new wells from an existing well shall be one foot per one gallon per minute of production from the existing well up to a maximum of 1,000 gpm. In addition to this maximum, a well producing over 1,000 gpm will be spaced one-half foot per one gpm from an existing well.
Production Regulations Yes -two acre-feet per acre owned per year.
Water Level Monitoring Yes-Currently the District is measuring 32 wells yearly. These wells are in and around high use areas.
Water Quality/Quantity Management Programs Yes-The district is involved with Fort Davis Water Supply Corp. in a wellhead protection program.
Water Quality Testing and Monitoring NO
Data Collection and Distribution Yes-All production wells in the District are metered and reported annually to the District. The District collects and shares data with TWDB.
NPS and Point Source Regulations NO
PROGRAMS   
Public Education The District distributes information and conducts field trips for schools and organizations upon request and publishes articles in the local newspaper.
Special Activities The district provides information through water conservation kits, drip gauges, etc. in the district office.
