Exempt Wells: 1)All groundwater wells that are either drilled, completed, or equipped so that they are incapable of producing more than 25,000 gpd. 2) the drilling of a water well used solely to supply water for a rig that is actively engaged in drilling or exploration operations for an oil or gas well permitted by the RRC. 3) the drilling of a water well authorized under a permit issued by the RRC under Chapter 134, Natural Resources Code, or for production from such a well to the extent the withdrawals are required for mining activities.

Spacing Requirements: 1) Spacing of non-exempt wells completed in the district shall be 1/2(half) foot per GPM of production capacity from the perimeter of the property that is legally assigned to that well. 2) Spacing of new non-exempt wells and oil and gas and hydraulic fracturing completed in the District shall be 1(one) foot per GPM of production capacity from permitted or registered wells in the district. 3) TDLR WWD/PI Rules for spacing applies to all exempt wells except for oil and gas and fracturing wells
